using exotic flame mahogany veneers over
pine.Hand forged central iron bolt and nut

Early pine tool box circa 1860-1890`s with fine dovetailing and square cut hand forged nails throughout. Case
boards are solid pine 19 " wide ( King`s Pines ) . Original cast iron handles. Top lid features a raised panel for
decoration. Entire chest is fine example of a master cabinet makers skills. Exceptionally clean condition. Doubt this
was ever used as a tool chest as interior was never divided into sliding trays for small parts and tools, jigs for
holding saws, levels , drills nor other carpenter`s tools. When we obtained this piece it was filled with blankets!
